iPhone 4 Survives 13,500 Foot Fall

iPhones may be tougher than we give them credit for. When skydiver Jarrod McKinney prepared for a tandem jump recently and forgot to zip the pocket where he kept his iPhone, we found out just how tough the phone is. McKinney’s iPhone fell from his pocket approximately 13,500 feet, landing on the rooftop of a building less than a mile away from where McKinney landed. The glass that covers both sides of the phone was completely shattered but not only was McKinney able to track down the whereabouts of the phone using the ‘Find My iPhone’ app on his iPad, he is also able to make and receive calls, although he has to use his Bluetooth to answer.
